Tailoring
The KORE transcultural social tailoring, set up within the INTERSOS24 centre in the eastern suburbs of Rome in Torre Spaccata, proposes itself as a virtuous model of protected job placement and combating social injustice. Thanks to an initial phase of vocational education and work shadowing, the project aims to provide its recipients with the best tools to foster a path of autonomy and self-awareness.
In the KORE tailoring, professional seamstresses, social workers and women from different countries work together. In the production area, labourers work in three main steps - cutting, sewing and ironing - to create quality clothing and accessories. The creations of the technical team are improved and enriched daily thanks to the different experiences of each seamstress and patternmaker and through continuous comparison.

The meeting with the Orto 2.0 farm and the social cooperative Agricoltura Capodarco gave birth to the EIR network, which started specific agricultural activities. At the Parco della Mistica, located in the eastern area of Rome, 2 hectares were set up in concession to the network: 80% dedicated to the production of officinal and aromatic plants and a garden aimed at educational sessions for the promotion of recreational-educational activities with children and the spread of biodiversity, 20% to the setting up of urban vegetable gardens with horticultural plants.
